Special Little Space
Dear wonderful Liska, Thank you so much for helping me create a little space, just for me. When I walk in, after a hard day, seeing my special space puts a smile on my face and I instantly relax.
I like nothing better than to sit and think or write or even dream, wrapped in my gorgeous cashmere blanket. I truly appreciate you.

A Treasured Closet
When I finally decided to pursue my long-held dream of becoming a writer I figured that it didn’t really matter so much where I wrote but that I did start to write. Thus I squeezed a desk into my large closet that was filled with overflowing boxes of photos, letters and ignored superannuation updates and started to write. It wasn’t a garret but its decorative style was definitely ‘Post-modern Clutter’.
I truly didn’t think that my surroundings would make a difference. Publisher’s feedback on my early chapters were encouraging but that they were ”a bit confused and all over the place”.
At this point Liska stepped in. She didn’t criticise the ‘Post-modern Clutter’ style but she did ask what I’d like to surround myself with. ‘Hmmm,’ I thought and from one of the overflowing boxes I produced a little card purchased years ago as a thank you card (that’s the trouble with the Post-modern Clutter style: it hides all your best intentions). The picture on the front evoked images of Jane Austen, history and gentility.
From this tiny $2.50 card, Liska helped me create a space that reflected me and what I love. Since then I’ve filled a journal with future story ideas and had more encouragement from a publisher.
My tiny study is no longer a cluttered closet but a treasured space for my writing. Sitting at my desk I just feel happy.

Creative Inspiration
As my business grew so did my justification for it to warrant taking up precious space in our home. Moving from the dining room table to the spare room was just as much a mental move as a physical one.
Liska understands how important my business is to me and that the essence of what I do is highly personal and so I make it my business to give 100% of myself to my clients.
She helped me appreciate the importance of creating a small but important space in the house where I could recharge my batteries . Hence we created Bespoke Shopping HQ. It’s my private space. I love all the individual pieces that surround me everyday and it inspires me creatively, personally and professionally.

Not Just a Desk
Liska Turner has a natural flair for colour, design and interior style. Using A Place for Space allowed me the unique opportunity to explore the idea that everyone would like to have a space in their home that is special to them.
After two exquisite furniture purchases, I can't thank Liska enough for all her legwork, sourcing and guidance. Every time I look at my Martha Stewart secretary I smile. It allows me to have my own space amongst the toys of two young children, and I now have somewhere to put my piles of stuff and my little, treasures. It’s not just a desk, it is definitely somewhere I nurture myself.
I look forward to using the A Place for Space services again when we move to our next home.

Outdoor Tranquility
As a mother of three small children much of my day is about meeting the needs of my young family. Liska helped me work through what I needed and wanted when I was creating a space of my own.
Through talking with her I realized that I needed to be disciplined about silence and solitude so I decided to claim part of the patio as my ‘nook’. I find the view out onto the garden and pool a source of tranquility.
When the patio doors are shut the children know that it’s Mummy time.

A Place for Flow
Liska has helped me create a space that I treasure. I see my daily activities as more than work, but rather a life’s calling, and I now find my office very condusive to that.
My room radiates my love of family, travel, and nature and my mediation corner regularly provides the clarity of thought essential for my work. I couldn’t recommend her service more highly, if you are serious about creating a place that is authentically yours.

A Room of my Own
My room is a magnet. I am drawn to it whenever I am home. I just love looking up and seeing all my special things. Surrounded by my treasures, flowers and favourite colours I feel that all is possible.
This chair is the centre of my room. I sit here and breathe until I am still and my heart listens.

My Meditation Space
My putting green is the perfect antidote to a busy life where there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day for everybody else let alone me. I work in an office so being able to step outside the back door onto a putting green makes the backyard my ideal place for space.
I put aside the mind chatter, enjoy having a calm, focused mind and being able to make my perfect putting stroke. When I putt I meditate. I connect with the earth beneath my feet and with the earth between the ball and the hole.
This has certainly improved my putting on the golf course. More than that it has enriched my soul and hence my relationship with God, Liska and our kids.
